How Stainless Steel Helps to Ensure Food Quality

1. It is Chemically Inert
Unlike most other uncoated metals, stainless steel is non-toxic and does not react with food or transfer anything to the food in any significant way. In a comprehensive test of seven different grades of stainless steel (representing lower- and higher-alloyed grades including those most commonly used for food handling) completed by Sweden’s KTH Royal Institute of Technology, all seven were confirmed to be “safe to use and acceptable as a food contact material”.
2. Easy to Clean
Raw food, especially meats, attracts bacteria at an alarming rate. Effective cleaning of containers and surfaces on which food is prepared is essential to minimize the potential for contamination. 3. Corrosion Resistant
